Leather or Fabric?

20th September 2008

Over recent years leather for furniture has gained popularity, common for chesterfields in the 18th century, but later regarded as a luxury. More and more are choosing this durable product when they are looking to buy new furniture for their home or commercial premises.

Our craftsmen can produce a leather finish that is the envy of others and we can cover your Distinctive Chesterfield or Club Chair with an antique style, a premium, or a hand dyed leather in a wide range of colours to suit your individual requirement. With leather you will have furniture, which will with simple care will last a lifetime and beyond, still looking good. Leather is easy to look after, just remove dust with a slightly damp cloth. Keep it at least 30cm away from direct heat sources to prevent it drying out, and remember that just like fabric it’s not immune to the fading effects of sunlight.

We can and do cover our club chairs with fabric at the request of our customers; velvet seems to be a popular choice. As with all our products we make all our club chairs to order, so if you have a particular request, contact us and we are sure that we will be able to meet it.
