Have you heard of Grandmillenial Style?

05th May 2020

So what is Grandmillenial style I hear you ask? Well think modern day design, teamed with retro classics.

Hand me downs, floral pieces, thrift shop finds, pieces of furniture and trinkets that previously might have gone unloved since you last saw them in your grandmas living room.

We’re talking a gorgeous velvet chesterfield, teamed with a leopard print cushion and fringed floral lampshade. The look is truly eclectic but absolutely eye catching.

If you have the skill and desire to dress your living space like this it will become the focal point of your home.

Imagine sitting on a distressed leather wing chair, doing some needlepoint. Sounds old fashioned yet strangely tempting doesn’t it. A real nod to generations that have passed and what they stood for.

For many this will have been their style all along but alas now we can call it something and we absolutely love it!

Dark interiors are still so very in fashion at the moment and this truly fits in with this style. A dark wall and a sumptuous chesterfield sofa in the same colour sitting in front, the rest of your room adorned with all the other beautiful pieces you can buy, find and recycle! What’s not to love.

The Grandmillenial style is here to stay and will, for sure become more and more popular. It’s definitely a shift away from bare, scandi inspired rooms but who doesn’t love a bit of a mix up in life!
